Many assume if you earn below the tax-free threshold ($18,200), you’re exempt from lodging a tax return. That’s not always the case.

When You Must Lodge:

• If you had any tax withheld from payments

• If you’re self-employed with an ABN

• If you received Centrelink or study support payments

• If you need to report capital gains or foreign income

Even if not required, lodging a non-lodgement advice prevents issues with government agencies and keeps your record clean.

We assess your income sources and obligations so you don’t miss out on refunds—or get into trouble later. Sometimes, lodging a return gets you money back you didn’t even know you were owed.
